After much deliberation, I have decided that I’d like to do personal training. It took a while to decide because I developed fibromyalgia in the Marine Corps and was self-conscious about it. Before that happened, I was working out to do women’s competitive bodybuilding, so I love exercise. I also love helping people, and would love to combine the two. Health is always a very important factor in one’s own quality of life.
My questions are:
1. What are the top schools for becoming certified? I have seen ads online and whatnot, and am wondering which I should look at and which I should ignore.
2. How much money do you make on average?
3. What does your work week look like?
4. How do you get your clients? Are they assigned or do you throw people a sales pitch?
5. How rewarding is your job?
6. Anything happen that you didn’t expect?
7. How long did it take for you to become certified?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hope this is in the right section…apologies if it isn’t!

I’m an athlete, and the position I play requires me to be one of the biggest, strongest guys on my team. I honestly don’t care about my physical appearance too much, but I’ve noticed a lot of questions on YA in which women indicate they prefer their guys to be toned and skinny (kind of like Michael Phelps). I’m definitely not skinny. In fact, according to the BMI I’m overweight, but that doesn’t take musculature into account, so I don’t care. Long story short, I’m curious what women would think of my bigger body.

By the way, I’m 20 years old. 6′4″ 240.
I know, I’d love to be super-cut, but I play rugby and I just take and dish out too many hits to be completely shredded. I need a LITTLE padding =P
