Usually after you get your personal trainer cert. the next thing to get is your nutrition specialist certification. You get this so you can add more value to yourself by prescribing your clients meal plans and guidelines for healthy eating. Not eveyone likes to eat the same things so so can adjust their individual programs to what they like but still get what they need. Also, your average person that is working out is going to eat completely different than a high level athlete.

You can also get your advanced PT. That makes you look better than just having the regular PT cert.

My boyfriend just got his nutrition specialist from IFPA and he thought it was top notch. I have only taken there PT cert and I feel that its the best after shopping around and then my experience with them. When I have to recertify I plan on doing the nutrition specialist also. There website it

    Hope this help. Good Luck!
